Our antique furniture restoration service is proving extremely popular, with many clients understanding both the potential and the benefits of having their treasured piece brought back to its former glory.
Within reason there really isn't anything that we can't do, such is the vast experience and expertise that we have with antique restoration - not to mention antique furniture as a whole.
Below are a couple of examples of some pieces that we successfully restored in January 2010. The first two photographs that you can see are of a Georgian walnut low boy, dating from circa 1740 - 1760.
Restorations such as this give us tremendous pleasure and satisfaction and everything is done by hand using traditional methods.
The next two photographs below are of another piece of Georgian antique furniture that we restored, this time a Georgian walnut knee hole desk, dating from circa 1760 - 1780.

Fantastic results can be achieved from antique furniture restoration, as long as the work is done by hand, just as it would have been done all those years ago.
We can also replace any broken antique locks, keys and handles and can supply the correct replacements that match the period of your piece.
As with all of our work, great care is taken to use traditional methods, from skillful cabinet work by using the correct hand tools and the use of the old fashioned pearl glue through to the finishing process with the use of traditional shellac (French) polish and wax finishing.
All in all tremendous care is taken to preserve the look and the value of your piece that is personal to you.
Any job is considered, from glueing and minor repairs to more extensive work, or even the making of a copy to match or replace your piece.
